Nature is full of surprises and there is a long precedent of using scientific images as artistic subjects. The same holds true for medical images. Just because a medical image is used for diagnosis or treatment, doesn’t mean that it can’t also be art. I took several of these black and white scans (CT and MRI), scanned them into my computer, and then proceeded to colorize, and distort the images into brightly colored abstract images. These are the results of that process.
